Our veneer procedure
Make sure that, before you begin any cosmetic procedure, you choose a cosmetic dentist who will go through your health history. Your Deltona dentist Dr. Terry Soule will review both your oral health history and medical history, helping to ensure there are no pre-existing conditions that may jeopardize the success of your restorations.
Any veneer procedure takes place over at least two appointments at our practice. After you receive a local anesthetic to ensure you feel no discomfort during the procedure, Dr. Soule will remove a very small portion from the front of the tooth or teeth being treated. This removal creates a smooth surface that will allow your porcelain veneer to make a flush bond against your tooth. Impressions will be taken of your teeth, which are used as a model from which your veneer will be fabricated. A temporary restoration will be installed. After your veneers have been constructed and received at our office, you will return for the follow-up appointment, where you will receive your new, beautiful porcelain veneer.
We use high-grade dental porcelain for all of our veneers. This is a state-of-the-art and beautiful material that is used to craft many of the restorations used in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Dental porcelain is stain-resistant, can be matched to the shade of your other natural teeth, and also has the same light-reflecting quality of natural tooth enamel.
The final results of your veneer will look completely natural, and no one will be able to tell your tooth has a restoration!
