Dental Cleanings: For patients of all ages, we offer dental cleanings to remove plaque buildup, and help promote good overall health.

Sealants: A protective coating for permanent back teeth, sealants can decrease one’s risk of cavities, and are especially effective for children with newly erupted permanent teeth.

Fluoride Treatments: A clear varnish that can be brushed over each tooth, fluoride is proven to help fortify dental enamel, making it less susceptible to dental decay.

Exams: Dental exams are recommended for patients of all ages beginning at age one. The purpose of exams is to identify any oral health issues and get treatment to keep the problem from getting worse. Oral cancer screenings may also be part of your dental exam.

Fillings: Used to repair small or intermediate cavities, fillings have been a tried-and-true part of dentistry for decades. Your Deltona restorative dentist Dr. Terry Soule offers traditional fillings made of amalgam, as well as tooth-colored fillings made of a composite material that blends seamlessly with your teeth.

Crowns: Having a crown installed can preserve a tooth that has been seriously damaged due to injury or decay. The office of Terry Soule, DDS, uses crowns made with dental porcelain, a beautiful and durable material that can be matched to the shade of your other adjacent teeth and also has the same light-reflecting quality of tooth enamel.

Root Canal: When damage or tooth decay invades the interior structure of a tooth, which compromises the tooth’s nerve, a root canal can be performed to remove the tooth’s pulp or nerve and blood supply to prevent tooth loss. This procedure involves removing the infected tissue, sealing the root’s canals and then placing a crown on top of the tooth.

Dentures: A classic choice to replace lost teeth, a denture is a removable appliance that has replacement teeth affixed to it. Dental science has upgraded the quality of dentures available, which look and feel more like real teeth and provide you with greater chewing ability. For additional stability, Dr. Soule can install dentures that are supported by dental implants.

Partials: Used to replace multiple lost teeth that do not have to be adjacent to one another, but do reside on the same dental arch, a partial denture represents a cost-effective tooth replacement option that often can be held in place by existing natural teeth to improve its stability.

Bridges: A fixed dental bridge literally fills the gap created by lost teeth in the mouth. Bridges are known for their comfort, convenience, and relatively low cost when considering that a well-maintained dental bridge will remain effective for at least a decade.

Space Maintainers: A treatment recommended for children who lose a baby tooth too early, space maintainers can be installed if your child loses a tooth before the permanent tooth is ready to erupt for the gum line. Placing a space maintainer prevents any shifting by the other baby teeth, which can cause an impaction when the permanent tooth does emerge.
