Most people assume that braces are the only way to truly get perfectly straight teeth. While traditional braces certainly do the job, they might not be the best fit for everyone. Maybe you wish that you could get straight teeth without all of that embarrassing or uncomfortable metal. If this sounds like you, then we have a solution for you!

ClearCorrect is a modern advancement in orthodontics that straightens teeth with clear aligners. Offered by your Orange City cosmetic dentist Dr. Terry Soule, here is what you can expect when getting ClearCorrect.

How does it work?

You can expect to have impressions, X-rays, and photographs taken by your dentist, which are later sent to the ClearCorrect lab where a 3D model of your teeth is made. This model is then used to fabricate custom clear aligners that you will wear for the realignment process.

Each set of aligners are custom made so that they fit perfectly and feel comfortable.

During treatment, you will receive a set of aligners that are to be worn for three weeks. You should wear your aligners at least 22 hours per day, only removing them when you eat and drink, or to brush and floss your teeth. Since the aligners are designed with aesthetics in mind, you won’t have to worry about how you will look when wearing them.

With each set of aligners, your teeth slowly move into a preferred alignment. This is in a similar manner as traditional braces, except without all of the metal! You will have periodic checkups with Dr. Soule to evaluate your progress, and to see if any changes need to be made to your treatment plan to keep you on track for the best results. Also, at this time you will receive a new set of aligners.

Length of treatment will vary for each patient, depending on how crooked your teeth are, and the results that you want to achieve. In general, however, you should expect to wear your clear aligners anywhere between one to two years.

There are three different treatment options available with ClearCorrect. The best one for you will depend on your specific case.

  • Unlimited – This option is the most costly but means you will be provided an unlimited amount of aligners or as many as you need to complete your treatment.
  • Limited 12 – Patients receiving this option will get 12 sets of aligners to achieve their desired results.
  • Limited 6 – Patients are given 6 sets of aligners.

To determine which option is best for you, and to get an idea of the cost, schedule an evaluation with a ClearCorrect provider in your area.

Is ClearCorrect for me?

While it is best to have a consultation with Dr. Soule to determine if you are a good candidate for ClearCorrect, here are common scenarios where this orthodontic treatment option may be beneficial.

  • Crooked or crowded teeth
  • Spacing issues between teeth
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Twisted teeth

Certain cases such as severe jaw or tooth misalignment may be better suited for traditional orthodontics.
